Same Day Sick Visits & After-Hours Support
When your child is sick, you shouldn’t have to guess what to do next. We offer sick visits during regular office hours — and we do our best to provide a same-day appointment when appropriate. When our office is closed, our after-hours support helps guide you on next steps.
Important Note
Farrington Pediatrics is a pediatric medical practice — we are not an urgent care. Sick visits are by appointment during regular business hours, and when appropriate, we do our best to offer a same-day appointment.
When should You Call Our Office First
Call our office first for:
- Fever, cold symptoms, cough, or sore throat
- Ear pain, congestion, or sinus symptoms
- Vomiting or diarrhea
- Rash or possible allergy
- Stomach pain, constipation, or new symptoms
We’ll help determine whether an office visit, home-care guidance, or another level of evaluation is most appropriate.
When Urgent Care or the ER is Safer
Seek urgent / emergency care (or call 911) for:
- Trouble breathing or severe breathing distress
- Seizure, fainting, or head injury with vomiting
- Severe chest or abdominal pain
- No urination 8–12 hours or extreme lethargy
- Severe allergic reaction or swelling
For urgent or emergency situations, please seek emergency care or call 911.
Have Questions About Your Child's Symptoms?
Call our office during business hours for scheduling and same-day sick visit availability.
If you’re calling after hours, our after-hours support can help guide you on whether your child can wait until morning, needs urgent care, or should seek emergency care.
